heya all.. Digital DESIGN ‘06 has had its anchor event yesterday. thank you shaun, wei jian and zhi ping for coming down… thanks mum and sis… very happyu all came down… having to put up with loud music as well as the blistering weather…
7 mths of hardwork into 7 hours of event. Sweet and Sour. Bitter and Salty too…
Friday (14th July)
Took leave from work. Headed to school and help out with packing of goody bags… SIGGRAPH room is in a total mess when I reached there… and Chee Ho, Hendri had stayed over on thursday to count all the goody items… and so we started packing the goody bags … from 2 different sponsors… Brother and Starhub.
We packed and packed… packed like never before… and checked that the goody bags contained enough stuff though… I oversaw the packing of the VIP goody bags… imagine the pride… aww… but it turn sour on the event day…
Then more came to help out with the packing of the starhub bags…. unity was in full force that we all managed to pack finish the entire stock of the goodies into the different bags in 1 day~!!! Woot! Thanks all for coming to pack… it was real late when we all left the place… and i took a cab home… cooked noodles and drop dead at only like 3 am plus?~
Saturday (15th July)
Then, woke up at 11 am… *dies* and this will be the day that I will never forget in my whole life…
Rushed down to meet Listya at Bugis, and went to look for her at the printing shop at some place near Raffles Hospital. I can even crack a joke that I am in Raffles Hospital, hospitalosed while i am actually eating at the food court there…. the food so ex and nt nice at all… =X
met Theresia there also… after that we waited and chatted there while Listya went back to collect the printouts… At that time, i brought my clothes to stay over at Theresia’s Hall… Thanks for putting me up~!
After that we went over to Killiney @ SMU. and met the rest of the committee members… Let our chairperson of the event to sign the certs as well as making sure of the final decoration before rushing to Popular to get them.
Last minute problems of lanyards occuring, thanks to a huge mix up, which resulted 50 black and blue lanyards to be bought, as well as the decor and tapes needed… then rush off to civic plaza @ taka to look at the venue.
One word~ NICE! this is craziness… so grand the tentage looked… and then hung around awhile… then went off for dinner with The Guy, bought some stuff and then took a cab ride… back to sch… yeah at 10 pm. and the day is barely over… we settled down quickly and start to clear up the mess… and thanks to certain pple giving us more shit to clear…
I had to cut the certs, the programme booklets… and tie the certs with ribbons, differentiating the VIP goody bags (and this issue pissed me off alot on the event day), and making sure everything is accounted for… and poor hendri has to figure out how to connect the telephone wires as well as help out Chee Ho with the damn last minute changes… Theresia helped out with the rest of the stuff and so does Kien Ooi, who came down to help out too!
and then we got so crappy… at 4 am, this is wat we all wrote

Here’s Hendri, Kien Ooi, Nicole, Theresia, and Chee Ho live from
SIGGRAPH Room at 4 am in the morning. And we’re still slaving away while Singapore sleeps, packing goodie bags, rolling certificates, cutting ribbons, making sure that the VIP bags are properly packed, etc. all in our lovely, stuffy and stinky club room. With 5 cranky people, no less.
Anyway, just wanna wish DD all the best. Just less than 20 more hours!
Ok, crapping here. Too tired. Haha… Watch out for the 5 pandas at the venue.
Chee Ho, got one more task for you. Please make sure that an ambulance is ready in case we collapse. Thanks.

And seriously, I had close shaves cutting myself with the pen knife… cos this is like the first time functioning without sleep, and its nt easy trying not to give in to the temptation to sleep… seriously, I am feeling so tired and fuming mad at the same time…
Sunday (17 July)
Sigh… then close to 5 am, we rushed off to grab a quick shower and a short break, and then gathered back at SIGGRAPH room at around 6.30 am to load the goods and set out to venue.
Took short cat naps… but its nt enough… as the day wore on… and that ramble shall be pushed to another day…
