The Bacardi Rum with peach flavor and sparkling water is nice. It has a strong distinct taste of rum and flows pretty smoothly down into your stomach, setting it on fire… Whereas the Hooch’s Blackcurrant is more of a mellow drink, and as a tip, add an ice cube to dispel all the carbon dioxide and it results in a better flavor when drunk… Its reasonably priced and I don’t see the reason of not buying it to try, for a festive occasion.

01 Jan 2007 a simple wish for u all
 |  Category: my life  | Comments off

Its the first day of 2007. And I thank Hendri for spending yesterday and today with me. It makes me very happy, after nt having this luxury for a long long time. :) so once again, thanks~!! <3

Drawing lessons from the previous year, I have identified the areas that I need to push myself in and do better for my studies. I hope to be able to train myself in discipline and focus in whatever I do. And that includes non academic stuff… I harbor hopes and optimism that so long as I work hard and smart, I will be able to achieve my target and the goal(s) that I have set out to accomplished.

Seems like the cloud around my mind has lifted, and I can see clearly of what will be coming and better anticipate it too… :) and i hope that sure is a good thing. ^^

I sincerely hope that all my friends will be able to have a fruitful and blessed year ahead… may all of u have a great 2007 ahead.

01 Jan 2007 eve of the new year

Happy new year~!

I am so happy Hendri and I managed to have the countdown our way… haha… it was a pretty lovely day until the washing machine at Hendri’s place decided to have a life on its own. Imagine his shock when he opened the washing machine cover and saw his clothes soaking in soapy water, instead of spun dry laundry. LOL. The washing machine was then reset…

We met up with Terence and Rui, and had lunch at Crystal Jade @ Holland Village. It has been quite some time since we met Terence. :) had a great lunch… Hendri enjoyed his La Mian with Beef and Chilli Oil whilst I ordered the Vegetable Dumpling La Mian. Both tasted equally good and my only bane is the Chinese Tea. =X

After that, we went on to M1 @ IMM Building. We were dismayed to hear that the phone, SonyEricsson K618i was sold out. =( The West Mall branch also reported the same news. =( But the staff there is very nice, and he help us locate a branch with the stock and reserved a unit for him.

Off we went to Daiso and managed to get the items that i needed… with that we headed straight to Hendri’s house to fix his laundry. And off to a mad rush to Orchard Paragon, where the handset is awaiting him. The queue is really long… and yes another long wait ensued. This time, its passed dinner time already, and my stomachs is rumbling like mad… grr…

Wanted to have our dinner at Scotts Pinic Food Court, and to our surprise and horror, its CLOSED. The entire Scotts shopping complex is CLOSED to make way for renovations. oh well… so head off to Far East Plaza and have dinner… @ Burger King. LoL… I had a Mushroom Swiss Meal and Hendri had the Whopper Burger. and we decided to skip Marina Bay already by then. Cos the crowd will be horrible down there and we will end up quite badly affected. Also the weather is getting worse.

So we decided to take a stroll down Orchard and the rains proved too hard to bear. So we decided to take 518 home… and we were sprayed with foam from one of the passerbys… damn… it wasnt a nice… XS but anyway, we managed to hop onto the bus, and got happily stuck in a traffic jam along Raffles Ave.

Orchard wasnt really very packed unlike the run up to Christmas, and yes there were very heavy police presence, and barricades and all… oh well… haha…

The crowds at Raffles were HORRIBLE. like ants on the streets. haha… and there are many vehicles moving into the area… hmm… it was a eventful ride, as we chit chat in the bus and watched the telecast of the coundown @ vivocity on TVMobile.

Finally we reached my place and we went to 7-11 to buy drinks. haha…. wanna know which drinks we bought? stay tuned for the picts :)

Hee.. and yes, we got really high… haha… and then went to bed @ 2 plus am.

Pictures coming right up.
