It has been quite a while since I last wrote stuff on my blog. and yes, it is indeed quite some time. Lately, I have been thinking of a possible career move in the later part of my life. at the same time, i am also challenged by the possible reactions from people who know me. will i draw flak for doing so? or will i draw encouragement and support ?

Honestly I don’t know. and I may never know the answer to that question. But whatever my career path maybe, what matters is that I am happy. I can’t imagine sticking to a job just for money. If I can help it, I want to work and be happy about work.

Looking back, I could have performed better for my academia, but I guess that was the best performance I had given. Even if time was to be rewind to that moment, I will still end up with the same grades I guess. I don’t have the academic brain to study, but I rather tinker around with new stuff, and getting dirty with programming.

Its true I have passion for IT, but will it wane and give way to something else ? I really don’t know.

Perhaps I worry and think too much at times. thats me. hard for me to change it but I shall try in anyway. I know there are alot of things that is beyond my control, and I don’t fault my brain to go into overdrive mode all the time. perhaps its due to past events that has happened, and that unfortunately occurred in my growing years, and it got ingrained into my head.

I feel that I am navigating a maze right now with many dead ends. I hope I will be able to find my way out of this maze. Life’s pretty much a maze and full of choice to take, but dunno if its the right or the wrong choice.

Whatever the outcome of the maze is, I will accept it.

Yesterday night was weird… I was online till 2 plus… and i went to lie down to catch 40 winks, before coming back to my laptop. and the next thing i knew, when i woke up, its 4 plus am. =.=” omg. next thing i knew, i woke up at 2.30 pm. haiz… really knocked out by every exhuasting issue this week.

As usual, timetable planning was never smooth to begin with, ended with suckier timings, and also, suckier exam timetable. haha. thats normal. ask any of my course mates. they can tell you the same thing too. i guess i am pretty lucky to get my preferred slots, and be with my friends. credits go to them for discussing it with me as well.

work is repetitive, and sometimes makes it rather hard to hit the target. i am feeling bad about it, but i shall make up for it. i have to… and i shall.

Work hit a setback today. It just feel so yucky, that I lost control of my emotions. I know I shouldn’t get emo over work, but I just felt so discouraged, and its like… all hell broke lose. The pent up frustrations… I kinda cried a bit, and dunno whether to continue to cry or laugh. Funny eh, cos can look at 2 ways to the whole matter.

I won’t blog what exactly happened at work, cos its kinda confidential. so yeah… I am kinda upset over it, but it will go away.

But one thing is for sure, I am not going to let this episode stop me. I will pull it through and become a stronger person. For all I know, I am a grass that will survive, no matter how hard its stepped on. For every mishaps I meet, it only makes me stronger.

Intially I wanna do something to decorate ping.sg logo. but it seems my mediocre photoshop skills hamper my progress… I can do photoshop, but i can’t draw properly using a mouse. and I don’t own a tablet. so oh well…

But what I am showing you next is a wip (work in progress) thingy. I don’t know if it will turn out well…

I am trying to create a theme for ping.sg users. Unfortunately, its only available for Sony Ericsson phones at the moment. The screenshot you are looking at is for k618i. Every model differs in terms of screen size.

Do gimme your comments, and suggestions. Tell me the brand of phone you are using and the model number as well, and who knows I might just design a theme for you. and yes, its all for free.

Oh yes, I am trying this out, so hope to get your support

Update (2226 pm): I found some tools for Nokia phone users…. hmm… need to do some testing there

Happy 18th Month, Hendri. Today marks the wonderful one and a half years, and many more wonderful times ahead.

Friday evening was marked by surprises… as well as a lovely time at Geek Terminal. Asked Theresia along as well. And what was expected to be a 3 party chat between hendri and myself turned out to be a 7 party chat! To my surprise, we bumped into Arzhou, CJ, Miccheng as well as Brennan. Haha, turn out that the 4 guys were to chiong and hunt for a gd ping.sg post celebration venue…

So the 7 of us headed over to GT, where there was a private function going on… but there were still seats to accommodate us… Its my first time there after GT grand opening. and yes, i like the way they use the candle lights, make the place look and feel even better =D

Alas, the soft shell crab pasta was so popular that it ran out… and only 2 portions were left. Thus Hendri and Theresia get to try it while the rest of us opt out. In the end, I ordered the Carbonara Pasta and there’s no regrets about it! The yummy cream sauce goes so well with the pasta… and oh my… its gd ! and so is the soft shell crab pasta. yummy…

Hendri and I shared the Seafood Chowder soup… whilst most of them had Geek Soup and CJ had the lobster bisque. Seems like everyone’s food look and taste good too! hehe…

And the visit doesn’t end without coffee of course… hahaha, and yes, I totally enjoyed my coffee… and it sure is a good way to start the weekends.

I totally enjoyed the visit to Geek Terminal as usual, and I am looking forward to go there again very soon.

Just yesterday, I met up with Hendri and had a great discussion on some designing work as well as programs and stuff. and we celebrated our 18th month together, since today is the actual day, and we both want a rest before work starts on Monday.

I am thankful to have found The Guy.
