What have I been up to these past few days? My weekends were a blast, unfortunately, don’t have too much time to blog about it yet… will blog about it someday… haha… Ok, perhaps a little glimpse…
Saturday: Bummed my day away at GeekTerminal, recording episode 68 with Tech65.
Sunday: Spent the day working on my beadwork, and whipping a storm in the kitchen (aka cooking) *Nicole can cook?!!!*
This week, work’s getting hectic for me, and have to settle my report… Bummer.
Seems like all my NTU friends have ended their exams! Freedom~!!! haha… and oh… my freedom will come only on 6th June 2008… but then again, I have like a semester free of exams, what more can I ask? I am fortunate to be exposed to different kinds of work at my internship…
Kinda like the challenge to learn things on the fly and apply it immediately… Reinforces the learning though… and many more lessons that I’ve learnt beyond the classroom… =)
Later this evening, will be attending Podfire soft launch at GeekTerminal. Looking forward to meet my blogger friends as well as new friends~

I remember putting myself on the mailing list to be notified when BlogTraffic.sg is ready to be beta tested… and promptly signed up and pasted the code into my blog…
Now all that remains is to wait and see… 
Although I have been using Google Analytics, but I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot, since it might be good to find out how much web traffic I have on my blog… and might give me a better idea of how many readers I have~
The site, BlogTraffic, looks cute, with a simple layout, and the colours are bright and cheery

I attended the first Media Makers Networking Event at GeekTerminal yesterday evening on 24th April, 7 pm . It’s my honor to be invited to this event, thanks to Kaiiten Communications and Blog2u.
People present at the event included Alice, Jean, Ridz, Tianhong, Neo,
Miccheng, Farinelli, Jerrick, NTT, Claudia, Bernard, Nic, Hillary… and not forgetting DK and Paddy as well.
(Phew, that’s alot of linking love there)
The food and drinks are really great! Spoke to Ronald from Drinkdings… Tried some of their drinks, and some of the flavours are nice… Mixing it with vodka, or just as mocktails, taste equally good too…
The event started on time, and it ran very well, with Angela introducing what the event is about.

In a nutshell, this is an event for networking amongst media professionals from various sectors such as TV, film, animation, publishing, media services, programmers, media financiers, as well as individuals from higher learning institutes. This is the first of many to come together from MDA and each with different group of people but under the umbrella of Media, including traditional and new media of course.
I had a great time at the event, meeting and talking to different people, and quite enjoyed myself talking to these people, though I believe I still need sometime to get used to such events.
The event ended with loads of time for networking, and I believe it will benefit me in the long run… Thanks Kaiiten for making the experience pleasant
After the event ended, a few of us bloggers stayed and chit chatted… and it’s great!
Overall, I had a eye opening experience, and learnt a thing or two from the event, and I am looking forward to attend more of such events.

Am I glad that I remembered everything, from the past to the present… the thing is, do I remember them as I want to or is it etched into my very brain?
Being nostalgic doesn’t really help too… It’s like being plunged through the deepest of emotions… and it triggers very very strong feelings… sometimes I can’t help but wonder is it a blessing or a curse?
I remember very clearly of almost everything. I could even write a book on it. =X Oh well…
At last, the weekends has arrived. More work to be done… Next post will be all about the Media Makers Networking Evening

Sometimes I wonder, am I ready to face it? or am I just painting an illusion for myself? Sometimes I really doubt my abilities… and my capabilities…. Perhaps my self esteem and self confidence took a severe nose dive… Kinda makes me feel very shitty though…
I wonder what triggered me to feel like this… Am still searching for the answer though… Am I not convinced or what?

(My own laptop is not with me at the moment, on loan to my sis, thus I borrowed DK’s laptop for the photo)
Ever since I bought my laptop, I’ve always treated it as if it’s my baby… and it’s a major part of my life… without which, I will be very much crushed…. Ok, forget about the crushed part… haha… It goes around with me to many places, and worse if I am alone and no one is around to guard my laptop if nature calls…
I believe many have also gone thru similar scenarios, and always praying that it won’t be missing by the time one gets back to it… oh well…
I can’t lose my laptop cos I depend on it for my everyday fix of checking of emails, facebooking, internet surfing, or even for entertainment… this explains why I rarely watch TV… (why watch TV when there is youtube, crunchyroll for anime fixes), and also to catch up with my contacts online…
The most important thing? Homework, Project and Assignments or any random crazy ideas that I logged down. All these are done through my laptop… and these may well be the most valuable stuff in the laptop…
Data is very important to me, and my laptop stored so much data that are of utmost important to me… and I probably will get a breakdown and be devastated should anything happen to my laptop… like being stolen or something…
If I lose my laptop, not only will my work be lost (even if I backup regularly), all that precious photographs with friends will be gone as well. It will really be a source of my worries, and feeling very sad over the loss of all these data… (again emphasizing how important data is to me)…
Thankfully, with VereyI, I can be sure that I will be able to track down my laptop if it ever gets missing. Simply like the idea of sending an email to notify me if my laptop goes missing, or stolen… Thanks Bak2u!

Feeling disappointed that I couldn’t access Tech65.org through usage of wireless@sg… and some of my friends on Singnet are having a horrible time getting their weekly fix of pod cast from the site as well… and talk about new readers trying to find out more about it?!!
Been receiving some queries on what Tech65 is about, and I told them to listen to the weekly podcast…now they can’t access! Horrors… And I believe this will result in them losing new readership if Singnet do not fix it…

For about two weeks, starting on the Saturday when we recorded our live show for the 65th episode of 65bits, Tech65.org has been inaccessible through Singnet broadband and wireless@sg. The only way we are aware of so far to get through this problem is to create a proxy at proxy.singnet.com.sg, port 8080.
I think we’re pretty sure it isn’t a block by Singnet, because 5% of the time it is accessible – a block wouldn’t let that happen. It is clearly some sort of connection problem, something that unfortunately after many many attempted solutions, have not lead to improved connections, and our confidence in the services provided by Singtel has completely failed at this juncture. Particularly because of the lack of support from Singtel themselves, something that has infuriated us very much.
This problem has affected our listenership very negatively, especially in recent episodes, even though many of our listeners subscribe to our show through iTunes and our RSS feeds, everything still has to go through our site, and not being able to connect to Tech65 has impeded our ability to continue providing service as many of our editors are on Singtel.
My dear readers and listeners, please blog about this as well on your respective spaces. Let the blogosphere know in your own way about this bizarre problem, and be sure to let us know if you are encountering the same problem with your site. We hope to resolve this soon and get our shows back on the smooth track.
