It’s Monday, and marks the start of week 16 of my 22 week internship. In 6 weeks time, I will bid goodbye to the company… It has been a really good experience for me, and that I’ve learnt quite a lot out of the classroom… And definitely help me achieve personal growth
Of course, life does not just revolve around the internship, but rather, it has allowed me a better chance at trying to find a hobby I really liked, apart from collecting stamps since I was 7.
If you have been reading this blog long enough, I’ve started making accessories on my own, after being inspired by other beaders… and lately, I’ve been edged on by some of these websites to explore different forms and techniques of beadwork…
But I have to say that it cost me quite a fair bit amount of money to sustain this hobby… Because I don’t sell them, but give them away… to friends and relatives… =X Sometimes I don’t know how much to sell them for too… haha, and I am not exactly very confident of my technique. =X
I think I am starting to get into a habit of chilling out over a cup of cuppa, or just having a meal with friends, exchanging views and opinions on matters discussed… its heartening to know that I still have a life, apart from staring at the terminal all day long…
And oh, shopping! Can’t wait to go on more shopping trips…
Heh… Can’t wait for the PC show in June… perhaps a better deal for whatever gizmos I needed to purchase? That is, if I can wait… lol…
Work never rains, it pours. Not that I am complaining, but I see it as an opportunity to learn even more, which is a good thing…
In the flash of an eye, 14 weeks of IA has passed. Time to get started on preparing the report! LoL, and I kinda like what I am working on, on a daily basis. It has also provided me much time to pursue alternative interests, apart from IT.
Which some of you all might know, I do bead work, apart from making accessories, as well as picking up bead weaving… Wonders where can I get beading supplies and tools at a more reasonable price?
The current loom I am using is made of stiff cardboard, and I am thinking of progressing to a better one… Guess I need to start looking around…
I have no idea what I can do in the long run with this alternate hobby of mine… But I do enjoy flexing my creativity in making accessories… and the satisfaction after completing the product is simply such a good feeling to relish
Actually, this hobby started when I marveled at how other beaders can create so beautiful pieces of beadwork to wear… Thus I started picking it up, and soon am on my way to making my own works too
Photos, sadly are not available. But they will soon be put up as soon as I get a camera.
Yesterday was my dad’s birthday. We had a very simple celebration. Steamboat dinner.
To be exact… it’s steamboat with porridge base… not the usual soup base that we all are used to eating…
There are craps crabs, prawns, silver fish, fishballs, dumplings, cabbage, and some other stuff as well… haha… Pretty much enjoyed it, because the seafood flavours the porridge, making it taste so sweet and nice…
The seafood were really fresh… one can taste the sweetness of the crabs… and yup, the finale was to finish up the porridge…
Also, in this post, the birthday greetings goes to Theresia, as her birthday was on yesterday too…
On thursday, 10th April, I had the opportunity to attend the HP 2144 Mini-Note PC launch at Hyatt Hotel, Mezza9 Bar… Many other bloggers whom I know were there too… and it’s like a gathering of sorts with other bloggers, catching up with them, apart from checking out the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC…
Think I am a little late with my post on the HP Mini, but its better to be late than never right? Haha, without much further ado, let’s check out the HP Mini~
Ain’t the Mini-Note beautiful?! I must say that the actual gizmo looks way better than the pictures, and it feels really nice to hold and try it out for myself.
A very good evening to one and all. We are live at SMU School of Information Systems, Seminar Room 2.4. I’m Nicole, the live blogger for today… Do stay tuned as I will post more updates throughout the event.
This is my first time using Windows Live Writer to write this post…and I hope the power of this gizmo last. No prizes for guessing. I did not bring a laptop along…
@7.38 pm: While awaiting for all the guests to arrive, refreshments are available and for the guests to mingle and network.
Today’s session… It’s all about Python/Django/RoR. Nothing to do with PHP. At all.
Wow, I am encouraged by the responses to the contest (the post has been stickied). Do keep them coming in, and remember, you still have 22nd April to do so… After which the entries will be consolidated.
=)
Oh yes, this month of April is special, as it will mark my 3rd year of blogging… and this blog, will also start to take on new directions as well… not just about my daily life and happenings, but also of organizing contests, product reviews, site reviews, live blogging at events etc… and not to mention for other good causes as well… (and much more that I shall not list here)…
