19 May 2008 heartfelt & deepest condolences…
 |  Category: my life  | Comments off

Been reading a lot on the disasters that struck Myanmar and China. I can’t help but feel sad for the plight that the people are facing…

Heart-wrenching stories after stories… and I’ve never been so moved to tears… But more often than ever, the stories of the earthquakes tugged my heart strings more than the stories of the cyclone… Don’t get me wrong… Both disasters have a devastating outcome… Just that I guess I ain’t reading enough of what’s happening in Myanmar…

Many are left dead, or missing after the disasters. It’s saddening to watch the old people mourn the passing of their younger kin…their kids… and their relatives… We can lose all the material that we own or have… but we can’t afford the price to lose our love ones…

My deepest sympathy and condolences goes to all the young ones, the missing, as well as the orphaned children… Some are left with no surviving next of kin… In one instance, many perished. Life is fragile yet precious indeed.

These leave me pondering, are Man responsible for all these ? What triggers such a global reaction to these disasters ? Have we been doing our best to preserve what Mother Nature has given to us? Oh well…

Time and again has proven that Man are responsible for everything He does… Which just goes to show, responsibility comes a tad too late.

I count my blessings to be here in Singapore, save from natural disasters.

I pray that the survivors will overcome their fear and lead a normal life again… though things will never be the same again, I hope they will be able to move on…

Watched “What Happens In Vegas”. Light-hearted romance comedy film… :) I enjoyed the movie, though I wished it could be better… Don’t wish to spoil the show for anyone, but I do encourage you to catch it~ teaches us a few good lessons on love and relationship.

I like these bits of it… and it is often so true that one ends up pleasing the other, and loses himself/herself in the process… and by not treating someone as special, one can truly be oneself. :)

I guess thats really a subtle way of waking me up from my still deep slumber…
