Yeah, you didn’t read it wrongly. It cost me $1500. It was supposed to be $15. It’s a Logitech mouse though. Of course… I wouldn’t have cried foul if the mouse comes with studded bling bling and have some ultra cool technology with it. And I must have gone mad and splurge on such a mouse!
Ok, it was all a mistake from the cashier, and partly mine. The cashier had apparently keyed in $1500 by mistake, and the mistake on my part would be, I didn’t check the amount and happily keyed in my pin number. By the time the mistake was spotted, the transaction was approved. Argh!
Thankfully, I got refunded the full amount, and I made a separate payment for the mouse, this time in cash. After that, went to deposit it all in my bank account again. Thankfully, there was my friend who doubled up as my bodyguard. I don’t feel too safe with all that amount of cash on me.
LoL.
Lesson learnt: Always check the amount before hitting the keypad for pin number. You never know how grave the cost can be to your wallet.
