11 Aug 2008 Martini Innercity Festival
 |  Category: my life  | 5 Comments

I had a great day out yesterday, and had the opportunity to try out the Martini’s from Harry’s @ Esplanade.

Photo of Carribean Breeze and Braveheart.

I tried Braveheart, Carribean Breeze and Fuzzy Berry Martini.

Braveheart is a light drink to tolerate, and that it is mildly sour, refreshing, but it doesn’t taste good after sipping the Carribean Breeze. Oops.

Carribean Breeze has a creamy and pineapple taste, leaving it a pleasant after taste.

The final drink of the day would be Fuzzy Berry Martini… and yes, it lives up to its name. Gives me a fuzzy feeling.

Each has its acquired taste, and the alcohol made me so hungry, that I headed to Gluttons Bay for some food.

Since I am at the post of martinis, let me just mention about the martinis offered at Geek Terminal, and I just can’t get enough of it. :)

From Left to Right: Honey Sparkes, Apple Caiprioska and Geekspressotini.

And of course, one never drinks alone…

11 Aug 2008 iPod Shuffle Resurrected
 |  Category: my life  | 2 Comments

I had a scare yesterday when my iPod Shuffle just refused to play music, and neither allowing me to do anything. It just simply flashed green and orange lights, telling me its an error but I simply have no idea… This is what happens to players without LCD screens. :P

I tried to reset it according to the 5R’s – Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore. But to no avail. It almost left me in tears though.

So the last resort, was to download and install the iPod reset utility for the iPod Shuffle Generation 1 and 2.

And to my utmost surprise, it manages to restore my iPod shuffle into working condition again! :)

But do note that while the restoration of factory settings is in progress, DO NOT disconnect the device, or risk damaging it.

:)

I am glad that it got resurrected. Truth is, I can’t bear to lay it to rest, because it has served me well, and no doubt its only of 512 MB of memory space, but its the tunes that has gotten me through the mundane of daily life.
