As the rain pours, it reflects my mood. For I am missing him you see. Easier said than done, but I am sorely missing him right now. I will get over it, for I’ve plenty on the to-do list to complete.

It’s sweet to see him send me an sms telling me he reached UK safely, and that really gave me a peace of mind. Indeed, for I was quite jumpy, wondering if he had landed safely.

Till he comes back somewhere in October, I shall have to get cracking and do work.

Absence indeed makes the heart grow fonder.

Today’s the eve of Hari Raya and also Children’s Day. Funnily, its been 11 years since I last celebrated Children’s Day. Makes me feel like a little kid again… :P

Glad to know he arrived safely in London. :) Am missing him here, but I guess I’ll be ok. I still have my friends to turn to :) So all is not lost.

Shall keep this post really short. Wishing a Selamat Hari Raya to all my malay friends and readers :)

What good does it makes if one drinks and eats alone, especially during Octoberfest?!

Was having a really good time with friends – DK, Xinyun, Jean, Alice, FoxTwo, Nelson, as well as Terence and myself. DK, the organizer, started the ball rolling, and its decided that Octoberfest warrants a celebration… (well, to eat, drink, tcss)

Brozeit’s the choice, and yes, I get to taste the pork knuckles. :)

Can’t help but take this picture, which proclaims the arrival of Octoberfest!

Hehe… and without much further ado… the food!

    From Ocktoberfest

Mouth-watering pork knuckles… (It got a little too much for me to finish, but managed to finish it with a little of the rest help).

    And also the sausages…

Last but not least… the Octoberfest Bier!

I like its taste very much, and drank quite a bit too. :P

Haha, I had a very enjoyable time chit chatting, sharing joy and laughter… it’s a merry thursday night that I won’t forget. :)

Today marks squoar.com 2nd birthday, but unfortunately, it will also be its last. The owner has decided to park the domain. So I guess, its a matter of time before its taken down.

Also, today I bade goodbye to Terence, and wishing him a very very smashingly good time in UK. See you in 3 weeks. :)

Last but not finally, I decided to straighten my thoughts and push myself to my limits once again :)

Posts on the way include the TAWA event, as well as The Chevy Night Race Party. Stay tuned.

This is the last recess week I will spend as a student. And boy it was a blast. I didn’t get much work done (boo hoo) but I relaxed alot, and manage to recuperate quite well from all the study stress. In fact, it geared me up for all the more crazy crazy things ahead.

Which will result in extreme time management, how will that work out? I don’t know, but I will just dive in and give my best.

Been pondering about the next direction to take. My FYP gave me an encouraging sign, and what I’ve seen and learnt at TAWA Networking Event – Wireless Security in Singapore puts me in a more certain direction of where my interest lies. Needless to say, I like web development a lot, as well as mobile development and security. :)

I don’t know to go with my gut feelings, but I guess there is no harm sticking to my guts and rough it out with whatever comes. I am still young, and I guess that shouldn’t leave much room to hesitate.

    Or should I ?

Joy~! Today, I’ll be heading down to town area to collect back my camera. Yay!!! Ok, having it stuck so long at the service center is also partly due to my busy schedule at school. But its ok, because I can make it to collect it today :D

Managed to upload photos of Him and Me onto the laptop. Shall put it on facebook :) Hehehe…

Did my nails this morning, and I like it a shade of golden brown. *grinz* Ok, I know I am vain. At least for a few days.

    Recess is almost over… NO~!!!

Morning, its mid-week of my term break. Let’s see what I’ve done so far.

Completed 60 % of BioInfo project with my groupmates. Really thank them for helping me to understand my concepts :) Also, finishing up assignment 2 of net-centric computing (I like the module alot).

What remains to be done is to take a break, start on my programming languages project and lastly, my FYP… Oh, I also have to make a trip down to collect my beloved camera! I guess that will be on tomorrow, where it will be my break day.

Ok, I guess I better go get some food, coffee, and settled down to work.

    Cheers,

    Reason being:

    1) Easy to Use.

    2) Ease of upgrading wordpress and plugins. (I heart the auto upgrade plugins)

    3) Many are also using wordpress.

    4) My other blogs are on wordpress platform too. (Nicole really has 2 more blogs).

    5) Wordpress FTW (For The World)!

Chinese Opera often use masks to portray different emotions and expressions of the character they play in the opera.

Here is how some of them look like:

    From SMB3 + ACM

See how each mask differs from the rest?

Let me try to decipher what each mask is trying to tell me (cos some of them look almost similar to the other, save for subtle differences such as the colour used. If I am not mistaken, the green mask depicts a sad expression, while the dark blue one depicts a picture of anger… and as for the rest, I will need to find out more about them. :P

Another part of Chinese culture would be tea drinking.

    From SMB3 + ACM

Tea drinking dates back to several dynasties, and there are many varieties of tea… Green Tea, Red Tea, White Tea, Black Tea, Flower Tea etc. I enjoy brewing and tasting different varieties of tea. You could still see tea being packaged traditionally at the Yue Hwa Chinese Emporium in Chinatown. One can find so many different grades and varieties of tea imported from China.

Chinese culture has been a part of me, and I am glad to have broadened my knowledge on a visit to the Asian Civilisation Museum. :)

Read the newspapers lately, and realized that the Milk Scare in China is too great to ignore. Because of the number of products involved. Milk is almost a basic ingredient in production of food products.

I recall how much I love eating the Rabbit candy, drinking the assorted flavours of Dutch Lady Milk, and many other kind of chocolates. It amazes me to find out that M&M’s are produced in China too, although there are some which is produced in United States.

I think I am officially scared of eating sweets and diary stuff till the food scandal clears. Its scary, to hear more and more of such bad news.
