Oh yes, quite sometime ago, I was invited to attend the Body Worlds: The Original & The Cycle of Life exhibition that’s currently held at the Science Center. It’s my first visit, and boy, it was an eye-opening trip, at least to me. :)

The Body Worlds exhibition is strictly no photography, but I was granted permission by the Science Center to take photos of it, so that you can view the pictures on my article.

The BodyWorlds exhibition is still on till March 2010! (Not very sure about the exact date when it closes). Admission is at 20 dollars per adult.

I will tell you more about the embalming process soon! (Stay tuned!)

Thanks to Science Center for the photography permission and Jiayi from Band PR for making this trip possible.

PS: This took duper late. My bad.

P.PS: Snuck this post in whilst on a Sunday morning. :P

Food has always played a major role in my life, and its hardly surprising, thanks to mum and dad whom can cook :P Though dad cooks better. Oops.

Doesn’t help that the bf is a foodie as well, taking me to places to spoil my tastebuds, and me, trying to find new places to bring him to… :P

On the top of my list would be Standing Sushi Bar, where he has to make a trip with me next time when he comes back… oh and The Garden Slug (I shall try it first)

My world is currently a mad world. An influx of projects just came in. I can’t complain, for it’s what will bring the dough.

January is almost over. My, that’s like one month into year 2010.

This year, I made no resolution, because I knew it would be broken anyway. But what I did was to tell myself, to rest and pace myself out better.

So far, things that have happened to me are beyond my expectations, like being able to keep a pet fish in my office, and you have no idea, how much I love the little fish, because she is of significant meaning to me. Her spirit is strong, and her will to live is so strong that she overcame odds to survive itch, a white spot like illness that most fishes may not be strong enough to recover.

I feel very thankful to be meeting up with my sec/poly friends, and spend time with friends and people around me as well. :)

Loads of photos to process, and words to churn out, and I know I will get it done, because I am doing what I can :P

    Have a blessed Sunday!

The Lunar New Year is around the corner, and while we are all having new things to usher in the new year, let us not forget the less fortunate that needs our help. I am writing in support of The Redbox Project, which was started by a team of NTU students as their FYP.

It doesn’t take a lot to help these children, which is the aim of The Redbox Project to make a smile on their faces.

In 4 steps, you can make the difference.

Apart from donating gifts, volunteers are also needed to distribute the presents on Feb 6 2010.

For more information, visit The Redbox Project website, as they have guidelines on what one can give to these children. :)

PS: Thanks Jacelyn for the heads up on this project! :)

It’s a Terrifying Tuesday, and indeed, it started really awful.

A cockroach in the toilet when I am about to shower, and it did scare the hell out of me. I can’t see very well without glasses, so it appeared as a brown crawling insect to me.

Wanted to scream, but too early, lest I wake all my neighbors up. So… I took the water hose and hosed it down the drainage. :X

So what’s up with me? Nothing bad, save for being extremely busy at work. Loads of work coming my way, but I shall take it in my stride. :)

It’s amazing that I started keeping a little fish in my office cube. A red female betta, to be exact. While it’s just a betta, to me, it’s a very strong fish, as it had survived an infection of white spots and itch. :P

Apart from fuzzying over the fish, it’s high time I pay more attention to my writing, because I have not been writing as much as I want to! Argh.

I’m done reviewing the LG Chocolate as well as the Canon 50D. Reviews coming in soon. I am happy to lay my hands on them. And yes, the EOS 50D has been very lovely, and I have had a very good time shooting photos with it. :)

Alrightey… I will be back soon!

Up till now, it’s still painful to be apart from the bf, as he heads to UK to study once again. Though he is back for 2 weeks plus, it’s still not enough. At least for both of us.

But for the sake of his future, there ain’t a choice.

As I am typing this post, I fought back hard not to cry, but I gave in and cried anyway.

Long Distance Relationship, aka LDR, is not as easy as it seems. Fellow friends in a LDR can vouch for that too. But both of us will remain strong, and faithful, just for each other. LDR is like the ultimate test of a relationship. To me, a LDR can make or break the relationship, so I will just have to be strong.

For our sakes. For his sake. For my sake.

Goodbye dearest bf, till May comes around. See you. Study Hard and Play Harder in UK.

    With love,
    Nicole

    From 500D 20091017

I feel like I am in a tunnel of sorts. A turbulent tunnel. But at the same time, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. And I am walking towards it, one step at a time, and I shall not look back.
