I’m kinda glad that food didn’t play a role in contributing to my skin reaction on the face. For those who do not know, I am recovering from a skin allergy reaction. This was caused by one of the lotions that I have been using since the beginning of my skin treatment.
Unbeknown, it can cause the skin to overreact after a prolonged period of time of usage. Initially, I thought of it as nothing, till the red patches didn’t subside, but became worse, itching and being painful at the same time. It even started spreading, much to my alarm.
I just went to the skin doctor, and he gave me some medication to bring down the redness.
The good news is that my food intake is not responsible for all the redness that is on my face, and that the medicines (combination of cream, lotion and oral medication) is working very well for my case, bringing down the number of pimples and controlling the condition well.
The bad news is that the night lotion is probably too effective for me, and that’s causing the skin to flare up pretty badly.
For now, I’ve been put under strict instructions of using the prescribed cream 3x a day, avoid sunlight as much as I can for the next 5 days. My dosage of Oratane was also upped to twice a week for 5 doses, and back to once a week for the subsequent dosage.
Am resisting all temptation to scratch it, because it will just make things worse. I can only now cross my fingers and be patient for the cream to work.
It’s a little blow dealt to me, because I look absolutely terrible right now. Eating and drinking has become a slight problem too, as the surrounding skin near the lips are affected quite badly as well. In short, my whole face is affected.
At least now I know what’s the exact problem, and no longer fretting about it. In the meantime, I will just have to be like a “vampire”, running away from sunshine.
