28 May 2011 Echoes from the heart
 |  Category: my life  | Comments off

Its been a rollercoaster for me in many aspects of life thus far for year 2011. Things change and happen at such blazing speed that I’m tired out very much.

Sometimes, they all say its a mental state of mind. I agree. And lately this mental state of mine is sorely tested to its limits.

I would be lying if I say I don’t need a break. I do. And I would love to travel for a short holiday, though funding will be a question.

My mind has been protesting at will, demanding peace and a break. Someday, it will come. Someday.

With each passing day, hopefully, things will start to get better. I really hope it does.

-Knobbly Sea Star, Cyrene Reef

Every star’s unique, with no two knobbly patterns alike.
Each basking in the warm sunshine amidst the cool water.

Yet, however pretty as they can be on the beautiful Cyrene reef,
Will cease to exist if Man do not learn the importance of conservation.

02 May 2011 Mayhem in May
 |  Category: my life  | Comments off

May is a month of mayhem, at least to me, before June arrives to herald the passing of 6 months into 2011. Time flies with a blink of the eye.

I’m still somewhat alive, not dead yet. Amazingly, I’ve surprised myself at how I manage to overcome what has happened to me thus far. Things are far from over, and far from all is fluffy and well… but I guess simple steps along the way helped. Not to mention that pet therapy helps a great deal on the emotional level. Cats are lovely companions. :)

The long weekend also signals a good time to get some much needed rest as well as to recharge. Pretty much enjoyed myself, reading books, as well as taking a hike on a rainy and stuffy Sunday. Not bad for semi-sedentry me. Being in office for 5 days a week tends to stiffen up the joints. *stretch*

As the month of May comes along, it also marks 2 years of work. Wow.

Shall try not to dwell on unhappiness…
