Attempted this with a Canon EOS 500D. I think the flash I used ain’t strong enough

I don’t think you can have a flash strong enough to light up the buildings. Need to play with the exposure.

@DK Yup… I still will need to play with exposure But its still a ton of good fun, considering first attempt at night shooting

Maybe you might want to play with the “Tv” function and let the light enter slowly. Quite a nice effect

Actually DK is right, it’s not the flash, it’s the exposure, and I think the exposure here is just nice.

yes, i agree with @dk… the flash does not work for long distance objects… obviously!Bring up the aperture and lower the shutter speed.
with a lower shutter speed, try out the silky smooth water effects
