I have a confession, I didn’t take my skincare seriously, till the day I decided to seek treatment for my face. *gasp* Yeah, I am that terrible. (I think you all must be gasping in horror) *How can a girl not take care of her complexion?!!!*
It may sound exaggerating above, but its true.
People who have met me will know how bad my skin was. And the photographs of myself is proof of it as well. What drove me to seek treatment is that I got totally sick of how I am being approached by merciless saleslady to try product X from Brand Y and such. *shudders*
Took the plunge to see the doctor, as I have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. Thus, that’s my small step towards road to recovery from my battered confidence.
Ever since I started my skin treatment, I have developed a regime that I follow faithfully everyday, irregardless of how tired I am. Guess the motivation to make me maintain my skin is very strong, given that I have seen the improvements first hand.
To be honest, I am amazed by the changes I see within the first month of treatment, which well, my doctor has promised. It came true.
Now all I need to do is continue taking Oratane for a year, and continue with the daily external applications. 11 months from now will be my follow up appointment. Meantime, stick to instructions.
Been using Avene Sun Block to protect my complexion. I don’t want pigmentation scars.
Subsequent months of treatment should improve my skin further, but that remains to be seen. For now, I feel that I no longer need to worry how I look, which I feel its a very good thing. It allows me to focus more of my energy on to other stuff.
If there’s a few things I’ve learnt, is never to touch the face with the fingers, unless its just after washing… and that I have to stay away from oil based products. Liquid based and powder form is fine.
Let’s just see how it goes, and I shall blog more about the skin care products that I am using, including the makeup as well
PS: If you realize, I am using Avene’s skincare products, since its recommended by the clinic. No regrets though.

Avene is good even though it’s pricey. And I love the smell of the natural thermal water used as part of it’s ingredients.
I’m an avid Avene fan now:) welcome to the club! Haha.

@Yuka Haha. Well, my doctor recommended it to me, and I get it slightly cheaper at the clinic compared to outside.

I love Avene too! Especially their cleanser and thermal spray, very mild and light for the skin

@Jacelyn Indeed, I love the squeaky clean feeling on the skin after washing. Not to mention that the thermal spray makes the skin feel refreshed after spraying.
