This is so gonna be a long post.

Am at Macs. Plaza Singapura… Using the wonderful wireless.sg service… which timed out connections here and there… but still stable enough… haha, considering I am a first time user of Wireless@Sg. Haha… Anyway, am waiting for some friends now then heading over to SMU. This is a live blogging on the fly…
haha… had a nasty bout of runny stools… thinks i am just too jittery… (that happens when I am nervous)
Had a huge breakfast and drank Latte. Doesn’t beat Geek Terminal’s one but better than nothing… Haha, drinking coffee… but still ok la… lol~ a coffee drink to kick start the day, not too bad… Met up with Shaun for breakfast and then Cheng Yi and Wei Jian… we then went to SMU – SIS building… Indicated our attendance at the guard post and headed to where the holding area will be
Honestly, at that time, I was asking myself, what on earth am i doing? Am I crazy or what? The thought of trying to survive 24 hours unnerved me a bit… but that was not necessary… scolded myself for that…
After confirming our team’s presence, we were given a goody bag containing an envelope of information pertaining to the competition, as well as the team’s t-shirts.
It was lovely, as the bags and envelope were tagged with the team’s name. My team was called Novice. and novices we are indeed.
Upon entering the holding area, the room is charged with tense and excitement… settled down and opened the information kit. Lo and Behold, the theme was revealed and started to think… and there was a briefing conducted to run through the documents in the envelope and to ensure that all teams have the correct number of documents… and then we were assigned to the seminar rooms where the competition will commerce.
after dropping our equipment at the designated table assigned, we head for lunch… bento boxes as well as platters of fruit and drinks. it was great, and yes, meals are pretty balanced… and they even had a grp of medical officers on standby…
which was good, because I had to sought treatment for a splitting headache after dinner.
we started planning our application and proceeded with coding… wasted part was i had to give up developing on rails in favour of Google WebToolkit because I did not have enough technical skills to solve some parts of the programming. thats ok, managed to switch pretty quickly… and early into the competition. Wei Jian working on Google Maps, while I focused on the web toolkit.
Kept hydrating myself with plain water, as well as other drinks… because the air con can be damaging to the skin, as well as to keep the pressure off… water helps a lot on that…
Code… Break… Code… Break… thats like a routine
haha, and it was good~
Okie, I really have to stop here, stay tuned for part 2 and part 3
Am still zoned out =X
