Been knocked out of action for past 2-3 days, and all I can do is eat medicine and sleep… and this time around, its not the same strain of flu that hit me, but rather, a different range all around…

It all started with a sore throat after coming back from vivocity, and I thought it was nothing, till I developed a fever… and body aches followed… so went off early to bed, self medicating, hopeful that I will be ok… But that wasn’t the case…

the next morning, I dragged myself out of bed, feeling totally sick and went off to see the doctor… bummer… Was the first patient there though… and yeah, by 9.05 am, I manage to see the doctor… he was nice, and after checking and touching my neck, where the lymph nodes are located, he told me that I am having flu, and that my lymph nodes are slightly swollen, and upper respiratory infection. =X

That kinda shocked me badly, cos I din realized that this damn strain of flu virus is so nasty… so I was given cough syrup, 15 anti-biotics tablets (5 days worth of medication), lozenges to suck on, to soothe the irritated throat as well as painkillers for the headache and the body aches… as well as to bring down the fever…

And the cost of the medicine? $28.00

My appetite is ruined, taste buds gone. and am missing out a whole lot of fun today. I don’t have a choice.
