of PSLE, and missing rowers…

10:16 am my life

Before I get sucked into the realm of AI again, I would like to pen down some thoughts over issues that has been in the newspaper…

PSLE

2 of my cousins set for their PSLE this year and had an aggregate of 252 and 242 respectively. First of all, congratulations to them for achieving fine results. I hope that whatever the choice of their secondary school is, they will continue to do their best and aim for better results. It kinda reminded me of my own PSLE results.

Nothing fanciful, 3 A’s and a Freaking Bloody C for Mathematics. Fantastic eh?! Haha, but that gave me a low aggregate of 208, which I still qualify for the Express stream, but short of being able to choose the school of my choice. That’s ok, nothing much to complain about. Just that, if I had done better back then, would I have a better and rosier life ahead?

I would say I am contented with what I have achieved since then, and I still believe that no matter what school each child goes to, they will end up at the same university one day. :)

5 missing rowers

Its disheartening to hear such a tragedy. I am praying that they are still alive. Although I don’t know any of them, but I can’t help but feel sad, as these people have a bright future ahead of them, and it’s really a pity, but no matter what there is still hope that they are safe and alive.
:)

Ok, this is all I have to say for current affair issues thus far… and I think I had spent enough time blogging. Time to head back to studies, ciaoz.

I did feel a little outraged at how the news about the rowers were reported, especially on the evening Chinese tabloids.

It is as if they don’t even have a chance. I wonder how the families will feel reading the news. Have we lost our ability to empathize?

@xizor2000: yeah, those insensitive remarks are uncalled for by the Chinese tabloids… oh well. May these souls rest in peace.
