Singapore Garden Festival 2008 Part 1
August 5, 2008 9:30 am my lifeThis is backdated, though all the photos of the Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) has been uploaded to my picasa web album… But as promised, I am going to do a write up on this. As most have known, I brought my mum and sister along to the SGF. It was a great and happy affair, as I am glad that on one hand I can spend time with them, on the other hand, enjoy and soak in all the pretty sights of the lovely flowers.
It didn’t take us too long to reach Suntec, and that I bought the tix and treated them to a sumptuous porridge buffet. And off we headed to Level 6.
I have to say that this post will be pretty image intensive, along with descriptions etc… so be prepared that it will take a a bit of time to load this post (depending on your Internet connection)
So relax, sit back and read away!
This is Part 1 of the writeup. (Too many photos to write about, and I am determined to give a through run through of the whole SGF)
Here are our tickets, and boy, there was a queue by the time I reach there. Didn’t know that there are so many people waiting to get their tickets.
Greatest Flower show in Asia!
All the walls are plastered with the Singapore Garden Festival posters and its not hard to understand why the atmosphere is so flowery!
Out of the 3 mascots – The Ladybug, GrassHopper and the Bee, I like one of them the best. No prizes for the correct guess…
You got it! The ladybug… and she is so cute… choosing a perfect gift for the flowers… the grasshopper serenades them, and the bee… erm I don’t know what does the bee do. Oops.
We are on the way to Level 6.
The shy and oh so cute ladybug.
The Bee and The Grasshopper.
The sights just before the entrance were already so pretty… and they smell lovely too…
I meant the flowers, and not the sytrofoam mascots.
The cold air rushes out of the exhibition hall… leaving me and my sister hastily putting on our jackets. Hehe…
Part 2 will feature more photos, and the writeups of the exhibits.
