Software Engineering…

1:39 am my life

Does all these terms make sense? IF you studied these before, yes it does…

Waterfall Model, RAD (Rapid Application Development), 4GL, Prototyping, White Box, Black Box, V(G), Use-case, actor, stereotypes, generalization, aggregation, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, context diagram, data flows, data couples… yada yada yada…

All these and more terms are sinking into my head. lol… and yes, the diagrams are messy affairs. haha…

Keeping this short and sweet…

I studied before leh. But they still don’t make sense to me. Esp since I started working.

    • Waterfall model = those things that architects build before building a real one in a park
    • 4GL = the term used for a group which has 4 leaders (i.e. 4 Group Leaders)
    • Black box = the box stored in airplanes to record every details of the flight controls movements in case of a crash
    • Actor = people who are underworked and overpaid
    • Stereotypes = overgeneralization
    • Class diagram = a diagram which contains all the kids in the class
    • Data couple = a pair of data in love with each other

    Will I get full marks?

NTT: LOL, yeah, i think they are fanciful names given to these terms…

Hendri: Full marks for defining them out of the norm, ZERO for the proper terms in Software Engineering

Not bout the definition, but bout applying them… =) SC207 (course code then, still the same now?) or SW Engr is one of the most useful module you’ll ever learn from your undergrad course. heh
