Probably be the post to round up 2007… There is so much I wanna wrap up with, but I guess I will just try and squeeze everything into one entry, so bear with me, if this gets a little too out of control… LOL… Ok, I try to cover the major events that has happened to me in 2007…

This is the year where so much happened, that it feels so surreal that it’s almost over… well… on with the events…

Ping.sg

Joined Ping.sg as a member on this fateful day March 15, 2007… It was after reading DK’s blog (started reading his blog after surfing on Tomorrow.sg), that I decided to check it out for myself what is it all about… and at that time, was pretty much bored and restless in hostel, so it provided a good source of entertainment, and a platform to chat, ping, and pong entries…

It was then onwards, I got to know more and more pingsters, like dk, ntt, uzyn, ridz (happen to realize we are school mates), rinaz, tstar, arzhou, miccheng, brennan, and many many more… wow… It was a great feeling to get to know more people… and I started convincing some of my friends to join…

People like Hendri, Theresia, Rui Ping started joining in as well… and soon before I realized, I went for the first meeting with the Pingsters at Geek Terminal! Whee! It was definitely a moment to remember, and that it was great to find everyone so friendly and warm… Ahh, those were the days…

It was also the time where I pinged my entries, and some were well received by the community, judging by the number of pongs received… Hee, that’s a good source of motivation to keep writing though… and there is really increase in the amount of traffic that my site enjoys…

Readership soared to a new high, and I am glad to say, I still enjoy a good traffic from Ping.sg till now! w00t!

Code Xtreme Apps Competition

Went for it, enjoyed the experience, and it was definitely an eye opener… Partnered with Wei Jian and we had a great time coding, debugging and testing like crazy… For more on this competition, read it here – part 1, part 2, part 3

Work experience

Had a great experience and enjoyed working for a research project held at IMM, where some of ya pingsters came down to support and help! *thanks* and also to all the team members (if you are reading this blog), thank you so much. It’s been great working with ya…

The opportunity to lead a team, and learning how to manage stuff, can be tough, yet fulfilling at the same time, and yes, I learnt a lot and to fine tune my managing style

Personal

This year marked a lot of changes of my life… I learnt how to get out of my comfort zone, and taken steps to rough it out… It ain’t smooth sailing, but it beats better than hiding in somewhere safe and stagnate…

I am growing and still growing from every day’s different experiences and events that can change life any minute… This is interesting…. It feels good to come out of it all… the road ahead will never be smooth, but the satisfaction is sweet, when I achieved something which i previously thought wasn’t possible…

There are still much more stuff that I wanna say… But I don’t wish to bore you out on all of them… Read my archives if you are interested
