a gathering with the csc clique

my life 8 Comments

After the final exams, the whole load of us decided to have a gathering and some board game fun before each of us step into the working society… and I brought them to Geek Terminal for lunch. :)

They revamped their menu, and the good ‘ol Soft Shell Crap Pasta disappeared. Oh well, but I am sure, their latest offering do not disappoint.

Topping up for just about 4 dollars, you can get a soup and coffee along with your choice of main dish.

It so happened that the soup of the day was mushroom soup…

Tasted so good, I can’t help but wonder if I can have more… but I would rather save my stomach for the main dish…

Pasta with Peanut Cream Sauce, along with brinjals, sausages and tomatoes. Sounds weird? :P A few of us ordered this and we were in for a surprise. (It’s a chef recommendation too!)

For a start, it smelled so wonderful, and I was hooked onto the taste after a few bites. The peanut sauce wasn’t too thick and coated the pasta beautifully, and boy, it’s quite feeling, despite the serving portion being a bit smaller. I bet it’s all in the sauce :)

Of course, no meal is complete without the coffee… and yup, I’ve photos of some coffee art…

On the whole, we had a very great lunch at Geek Terminal. Thanks Danny for helping me with the reservation for our group of 8. :)

We then headed off for a few rounds of board games at PitStop Cafe, where we laughed our hearts off, and enjoyed the times there :)

Our group picture! And we rarely have this many people in one gathering. :P

Naughty Crab

my life 2 Comments

This happened quite some time back… but I still feel like writing something about it :P

One day my dad brought home 4 live crabs, and that’s to be on our dinner plates… to make sure that they taste fresh, the crabs were kept alive till well, almost dinner time…

But one crab decided to stage a mini rebellion, and took to crawling for its life…

And it got bolder… and tried to make it across the next bowl…

Unfortunately, it didn’t get far, for my dad swiftly took the crab and tipped it back into the sink. Ouch.

At the end of the day, it joined its 3 other fellas, to become our dinner.

Boy they taste so good, steamed with wine and served on its own. =P

What do you crave for today?

This is one of the days where I crave for a nice cheese melted ham sandwich from Starbucks, which I was having it as part of my dinner on some days not long ago… :)

What’s your craving? :P

Reunion Dinner

my life 1 Comment

Today is the eve of Chinese New Year.

Its also the last day of the Rat year. And at midnight, the Ox is ushered into the new year.

This is also the day where everyone goes home to have Reunion dinner with the rest of the family members. I make an effort to go for Reunion dinner. Its also a time where everyone come together, and have a good time of eating, drinking and laughter.

Without fail, will stay up as late as I can, because it brings your parents longevity.

I spend new year’s eve at grandparents place, and after that, a little quiet time on my own.

Chocolate Pearls

Gonna put this up here. :P

You see, I am a big fan of dark chocolate. Milk Chocolates are nice too, just that I love the bitter after-taste of dark chocolate. Its so ooo delicious that it melts in your mouth.

Best of all, dark chocolates with liqueur, I like!

What is your favourite chocolate?

A day at Parkway Parade

my life Comments Off

It was a lovely day spent with Mum and Sister, on 29th December 2008. Been a long time since I did just that. I could have spent the day working on project, but family first. :)

It was also the day where my sister and I got our results for the semester… and we decided to go out and do some shopping with the vouchers our aunt has gave to us for Christmas. And it turned out to be a day of eating as well. ;P

My spoils from Ocean Pacific (first time I ever purchased from them)

and these are my sister’s:

They are having a 20% sale! And best part, I get to try as many as I want before deciding on what to buy. :)

My sister gave a treat at MOS Burger… and me… Swensen’s Ice Cream. Ok. My mum was also craving for the fries and dips. :P So… I decided to bring them there… :)

The picture of the Fries and Dips… :P

And shared the ice-cream…

Mango Madness

Sister looks better with her new specs!

And yes, she just have to play with tartar sauce and tomato sauce to create this:

This is her happiness indicator. LOL.

The 3 of us had such an enjoyable time shopping at Parkway Parade… and all that pigging out is giving me a strong craving for porridge for lunch today :P

my lazy Sunday

my life 4 Comments

Its a lazy Sunday for me… am made to stay home because of this…

Yeah, it was an unfortunate accident. Nothing major, just that I am to have bed rest on a cold rainy Sunday… so I decided to snuggle in bed with a good book that I just bought.

But my mood was cheered up by the book and home cooked food.
