twitter, 179, week 4 of school

10:51 am my life

Ok, I am suppose to work on my tutorials, but I ain’t have the mood to do so. Darn. So here I am blogging before I get the mood to be swamped by all that wonderful, mind boggling homework! I love that feeling :P

But there are some issues that leaves me pissed dumbfounded… and here they are…

Twitter

I have since turned off twitter updates to my mobile phone, because I noticed that I am getting too distracted in class. I will still read twitter updates, but only when I access the web. and no, this is not the issue that left me puzzled. Whats funny is that there are a lot of people that I don not know, all following me on twitter! Haha, random adders or mistaken identity? I dunno. But its amazing to find random people adding you. Potential Spammers?! Perhaps.

But I am not obliged to follow any of them in return unless I know you. Blocking them is not an option, unless they really get on my nerves really badly. :) *I am nice* :P

Boon Lay Interchange – Bus 179

I seriously thinks that if all the NTU students form a line to queue up for this bus, we will break records for being the longest queue. You see, to access NTU campus, there are two buses, 179 and 199. Most of the students, including yours truly who doesn’t stay at the hostel will choose to enter campus through 179 instead of 199.

199 caters to the NIE crowd as well as to students staying in halls away from the main route of NTU campus. 179 caters to all students in the North Spine and South Spine as well. So what happens when you have effectively only 1 bus to serve the students? Long queues.

This morning is truly amazing, for the first time I queued for the bus just barely 10 m of exiting the MRT station. I was doubting myself, “Is this queue for 179?” The answer was so obvious, after spotting students alike with NTU jackets, bags and notes… I was like uhm great… it was almost 9 am, and my concerns were not to be late for my 9.30 am lecture… because if the queue do not move fast enough, I am screwed!

Thank goodness, it moved fairly quicky, and after 4 buses of 179, I manage to board 1. And even when my bus left the interchange, another queue just formed as quickly as it has cleared. I am wondering, is it because there are so many students having 9.30 am class?

Its not the worse I went through. There are others who spoke of even horror queueing experiences. And I am glad that I still manage to arrive to class on time. :) *thank goodness my tutorials are not the first lessons*

Week 4

Week 4 of school has started. Full swing ahead! and that means more data crunching, balancing of loads and lots and lots of notes to be written. Everyday is a new day.

DK: haha, i should ask my friends who faced worse queues than me… the queues can snake around the interchange, its that bad. =X

Perhaps we already broke the record, or it remains unbroken :P
